Our priority at Goodwill is the health and well-being of our employees, participants, families, and community members. To protect the physical well-being of our entire Goodwill community, we have implemented several protocols in our offices and facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Are you open?
All our stores and offices are open. To find the Program office, store, or donation center nearest you, visit the map below.
Are masks required?
Yes, currently, Goodwill requires everyone to wear a mask when entering our stores and offices, in compliance with mandates from government agencies in all our service areas.
If you need help from one of our programs, but are unable to wear a mask, please call 1-800-894-2450 for guidance on accessing our services.
What is Goodwill doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
1. Stay home if you are sick
We ask that all employees, participants, customers, and donors stay home if you are sick. We have policies in place to advice employees and participants regarding symptoms to be aware of, and steps to take should they develop symptoms.
2. Clean regularly
Our stores, offices, and employee break areas are cleaned frequently each day with disinfecting solutions.
3. Wash your hands regularly
We remind our staff to follow good hand hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. Use paper towel to turn off the bathroom light and open the bathroom door. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available.
4. Avoid touching your mouth, eyes, or nose
The eyes, nose and mouth are common entry points for germs and bacteria. So, be mindful of keeping your hands away from your face.
5. Cover your coughs and sneezes
Cough and sneeze into your elbow or shoulder, rather than into your hands. If you do cover your cough or sneeze with your hands, make sure to wash them thoroughly.
6. Practice social distancing (6 feet) at all times
We ask that all customers, donors, employees, and participants practice social distancing. Keep a minimum of 6-feet distance between yourself and other individuals, wherever possible.
Our workstations and office spaces have been adjusted where possible in all locations to accommodate the 6-foot separation. When possible, employees are working rotating shifts from home to limit the amount of traffic in our offices.
7. Wear facial coverings
All Goodwill employees are required to wear a face mask or shield when they are around coworkers/participants/community members/customers/donors, to include hallways and common areas.
We provide masks/shields for people receiving our services if they do not have one. We have also put shields up in meeting rooms to provide additional protection. Whenever possible, our staff are meeting virtually with people via the phone or web conferencing.
