Struggling to Find Help
Robert was struggling with housing and didn’t know where to turn for help. He tried to get support from other organizations, but nothing seemed to work. He was stressed and worried because he had no idea what to do next.
Goodwill Steps in with Support and Advocacy
Then, Robert found Goodwill, and things started to change. Goodwill helped him find the resources he needed. Robert said, “Goodwill does what they say they are going to do and are good for it.” His housing specialist worked closely with him, helping him apply for housing and speaking to property managers on his behalf. They explained Robert’s goals and needs, which helped him get the housing he needed.
Finding a Home and a New Beginning
Goodwill even helped Robert by covering move-in costs and application fees, which were a big relief for him. Because of Goodwill’s support, Robert was able to find a stable place to live. He said that without Goodwill, he would probably be sleeping in his car.
Grateful for Goodwill
Now, Robert is housed and can focus on his health and finding a job. His life is much calmer, and he feels safe and secure. Robert says, “Goodwill is a wonderful organization and is good at following through with what they say they are going to do. The housing specialists are with you through the journey and are supportive the whole way through.”
