Thanks to the Avista Corporation, Goodwill’s South Hill store (2927 E. 27th Ave) is now home to two public EV charging stations. Shoppers can now charge their vehicles while looking for good deals, making this the location of the 22nd DC fast charger Avista has installed in the region.
“With the rise of electric vehicles in our region, we are happy that we can provide a charge solution for our customers,” said Kara Cheney, Vice President of Operations at Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest.
Avista identified the Lincoln Heights shopping area as a key location as part of its Regional Buildout Plan, which focuses on building a reliable network of charging stations in high-traffic and densely populated areas.
“Goodwill is committed to a better life for people, and a better life for our planet,” said Clark Brekke, President and CEO of Goodwill. “We welcome solutions and partnerships that promote energy efficiency and clean energy.”
EV drivers will pay $0.42/kWh for DC fast charging and $0.28/kWh for Level 2 charging, per Avista’s current tariff. So whether you’re on a quick thrift stop or a longer browsing trip, there’s an option to fit your needs.
“Goodwill is a great partner in our community,” said Rendall Farley, Avista’s Manager of Clean Energy Solutions. “Expanding EV charging infrastructure to the Lincoln Heights commercial center provides more accessibility and helps customers benefit from the transportation cost savings of EVs.”
