Destiny's Success

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program

Destiny was living in her car with her husband, two dogs, and a cat, feeling scared and alone. Burdened by debt and past evictions, finding housing seemed impossible.

As a veteran, she turned to Veterans Affairs and discovered Goodwill’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). Her case manager helped her find a home and provided the support she desperately needed.

“Goodwill provided me with a home and someone to support me when I felt like I had no one,” Destiny said. With her own place, she’s now attending school full-time, working a part-time job she loves, and thriving alongside her pets.

“Without Goodwill, my life would be the way it was before, but I probably would have given up hope,” she shared. Thanks to SSVF, Destiny finally feels free and independent.
