We are happy to share that Goodwill’s Colville store will move to a new location this year!
In January, Goodwill bought Clark’s All Sports. Clark’s is found at 557 S. Main Street in Colville. Ray Clark started Clark’s All Sports in 1978. When Clark decided to retire and sell the store, Goodwill saw a chance to grow its services in Stevens County.
Goodwill has been in Colville, Washington for 71 years. The first store opened at West 17 Astore Avenue in 1954 and moved to 168 N. Main Street in 1970.
“Our Colville store has served us well for many years. But our current location no longer meets the needs of our donors, customers and employees,” said Clark Brekke, President/CEO of Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest. “We have been looking for a new place in Colville for several years, one that would let us have our store and our community services in one spot.”
Goodwill now rents a small office for its Workforce and Family Services programs at 153 S. Oak Street. This office is open by appointment for staff to meet with community members who need help.
“We are excited to grow our programs in Stevens County and have a better place for staff to help the community around Colville,” says Brekke.
Once Clark’s All Sports sells its inventory and closes in late Spring, Goodwill plans to open in early fall after remodeling the building to fit its needs.
