Property managers are our partners in housing solutions.
I want to know more about working with the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.
I want to know more about working with the Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program.
SSVF helps eligible low-income veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless get safe, stable housing.
The program has housing specialists, case managers, and a property manager liaison that will work with the veteran and the property manager to smooth the transition into housing.Â
How can SSVF help?
Tenants receive temporary financial support This can include payments for deposits, application fees, rent, and utilities. While enrolled in the program, eligible veterans can receive assistance based on their current level of need. Financial support is made directly to the property manager to ensure a smooth transition into housing.
SSVF makes regular home visits to check on the veteran and their housing situation. Veterans in the program get support and tenant education to help them keep their housing.Â
A liaison offers support and resources to help property managers and veterans.
The HEN program supplies funding and supports to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
People who qualify for this program have referrals from the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
