Gigi’s New Beginning

Facing Tough Challenges

Life for Gigi was really hard. She was always moving from place to place, and nothing was consistent. She had to go through the court system and struggled with addiction on and off. This made it hard for her to keep a job. Whenever she had a relapse, she would lose her job.

Finding Help with Goodwill

But things changed when Gigi found Goodwill’s Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program. They helped her get a new apartment, giving her a stable place to live. This was a big step for Gigi.

Goodwill didn’t just help with housing. They also helped Gigi find a stable job. She took a resume-building class through Goodwill and learned how to make a great resume. With her new resume, Gigi got a second job.

Staying sober and reaching her goals

Since getting help from Goodwill, Gigi’s life has completely changed. She has now maintained sobriety!

Gigi even bought her first car. She needed help understanding the paperwork, so she reached out to her case manager. With their support, she figured it all out.

A Grateful Heart

Gigi says that without Goodwill’s help, her life would be much worse. She says that without Goodwill’s support, she would never have been able to get into stable housing or get through her struggles.

Today, Gigi is proud of how far she has come and is thankful for the support from Goodwill.
