Goodwill Housing Programs
Goodwill has programs that can help people in eastern Washington and north Idaho get into stable housing.  We currently have three housing assistance programs. There are criteria to qualify for these programs. If you do not qualify for one of these programs, our staff may be able to connect you to other community resources.
Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program
FCS can help people who have extreme problems finding stable housing and employment. People who participate in this program must qualify for Medicaid.Â
Available in Asotin, Grant, Spokane and Whitman counties.Â
Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program
HEN can help people in Spokane County who are homeless or about to become homeless find and pay for housing. You must have a HEN referral from DSHS.Â
Available in Spokane County only. Â
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program
SSVF helps low-income eligible veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless get safe, stable housing.Â
Available in eastern Washington and north Idaho.

Success Story: William
Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program
William faced many challenges in his life. For four long years, he lived in a trailer that was not a safe or happy place to be. The trailer had no working toilet, shower, sink, stove, heating or cooling. William’s health suffered greatly because of these conditions.
William found help at Goodwill. Goodwill helped him find a new home where he could be safe and warm. And he got help with applying for benefits like low-income housing and section 8 help. Most importantly, William is getting the medical care he needs to stay healthy.
