Goodwill Employer Partner, Premier Manufacturing

This Goodwill Week we want to thank our employers. The people who believe in creating jobs for people with disabilities. Premier Manufacturing is one of those partners.

Premier Manufacturing wanted to work with Goodwill to create jobs for people with disabilities. They wanted to try new ideas to make this possible.

They worked closely with Goodwill’s Extended Employment Services to support Gary, one of Goodwill’s participants. They did this by learning about his strengths and needs. A Goodwill employee shared that Premier was open “to the idea of working on creating a position” for Gary. Premier did this by having him try different tasks. This helped them find the best job for Gary.

Clear communication has also helped make this work. Premier Manufacturing learned how Goodwill would support Gary with his job. This helped build trust. The company continues to be easy to communicate with and focuses on creating a welcoming place to work.

Today, Gary is doing well and growing in his job. Premier Manufacturing shows that anyone, no matter their background or skills, can learn a job. Their work reflects Goodwill’s mission.

We would like to thank Premier Manufacturing for choosing to hire people with disabilities. Working together shows that local businesses can help Goodwill strengthen our community.
