From Thrift Rack to Noodle Run: A $26 Weekend Outfit

I gave myself a thrift challenge this week: create a quick, fun, easygoing weekend look.

Naturally, my mind went straight to a slow stroll through the Garland District, with a stop at Little Noodle along the way. So,  the outfit had to feel relaxed, comfortable, and still a little put together.

I’m always drawn to earth tones, and this top instantly caught my eye. The subtle, Asian-inspired sleeves make it feel unique without trying too hard. It’s one of those pieces that does the work for you.

I don’t usually reach for black (shoutout to my fluffy white dog), but the distressed hem on this denim jacket sold me. It adds just the right amount of edge while keeping the look casual and layer-friendly.

Paired with classic denim and simple flats, this outfit feels effortless, perfect for wandering, grabbing lunch, and enjoying a laid-back weekend.

The breakdown:

  • Cello jacket: $5.99
  • Maurices top: $5.99
  • Lee jeans: $7.99
  • Banana Republic shoes: $6.99

Total: $26.96
