This Goodwill Week, we want to recognize partners who believe people deserve care, respect, and a chance to move forward. Compassionate Addiction Treatment (CAT) is one of those partners.
CAT began working with Goodwill in 2019. At first, the connection was simple. They used Goodwill’s thrift store to help meet basic needs for their clients. Over time, we saw how well we worked together. We shared the same goals and values. This helped the partnership grow.
Soon our teams also focused on helping people find housing and jobs, and worked with landlords and property managers.
A Goodwill team member who worked closely with CAT said, “Their team consistently goes above and beyond to offer vital resources to our participants in need, ensuring that no one is left without support.”
CAT understands things the same way that Goodwill does. That each person’s situation is different. Together, we listen to each individual and help them choose the path that feels right for them. When challenges came up, Goodwill and CAT faced them together. When problems happen, we work together to find solutions. We support one another’s clients when needed so no one feels alone or forgotten.
At the heart of Compassionate Addiction Treatment’s work is respect. Their team believes everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. They meet people where they are and offer support that fits each person’s goals. These same values guide how they work with Goodwill.
Because of this partnership, Goodwill is proud to present the Mission Partner Award to Compassionate Addiction Treatment. We are thankful for CAT and the care they bring to our community. Through teamwork, kindness, and trust, they help people find stability and hope for the future.
