Helping Hands Ministry: Making Houses Feel Like Home

During Goodwill Week, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest is proud to celebrate Helping Hands Ministry for the care and support it gives to people in need. Helping Hands works closely with Goodwill to help people feel welcomed and prepared as they start new chapters in their lives.

Lupe, who started Helping Hands Ministry, works with Goodwill to support people who have just found housing or gotten jobs. Many of these individuals need basic home items or work clothes to feel confident and comfortable. Lupe has helped many of Goodwill’s clients get home essentials and clothing for work.

Helping Hands also works with Oxford Housing and helps deliver donated items. They support people who need a ride for their community service or other opportunities. This support helps Goodwill clients get what they need right when they need it.

What makes Helping Hands special is Lupe’s kindness and dedication. He is always willing to help, no matter the situation. He never turns anyone away. A Goodwill team member said that Lupe’s goal is simple, “to care for others and make a difference.”

We celebrate our partnership with Helping Hands Ministry for its compassion and service. Their work with Goodwill shows how one person’s caring actions can have a big impact on the community.
