One Person, Helping People Find a Home

This Goodwill Week, we want to honor partners who believe everyone deserves a safe place to live. Cody Davis, a local property owner, is one of those partners.

Cody has been a strong supporter of Goodwill by helping provide our clients with low-cost housing. He is willing to work with people who are homeless or have a hard time finding housing. Instead of turning people away, Cody shows patience, kindness, and understanding.

He took over several apartment buildings that were in poor condition. Then he fixed them up and turned them into safe, livable homes. He made the apartments affordable to the public, including people who often struggle to find housing. Because of this, many people have been given a second chance at having a place to live.

Cody strongly believes in “housing first.” He knows that once people have a home, it is easier for them to work on other challenges in their lives. He is willing to help clients who have been turned away by other property managers, giving them a fresh start.

His housing is easy to access. Many of his units include utilities in the rent and allow pets. These options are rare but very important for many people. His rents are also low-cost, which helps residents focus on becoming independent and stable.

Cody also works with others in the community and is willing to help people find extra resources when needed. His support helps lower homelessness and improves the community.
We are thankful for Cody and the difference he makes in Grant County. By putting housing first and treating people with respect, he helps people start over again and create a better future.
