Serving Others in Moses Lake

This Goodwill Week, we are proud to honor volunteers who continue to give their time, care, and heart to our mission. One of those people is Erik Clausen, our Volunteer of the Year.

Erik used to work at Goodwill as an Employment Specialist. During that time, he also worked closely with the Group Supported Employment (GSE) team. He built strong relationships with participants and staff, earning trust and respect through his kindness and by always being there.

Even after leaving Goodwill in 2022, Erik never stopped showing up. He comes every Wednesday to volunteer, choosing to spend his time supporting others. His presence brings joy and excitement to the team. Participants look forward to Wednesdays because they know Erik will be there.

Erik’s visits mean more than just extra help. He brings encouragement, friendship, and a sense of belonging. The participants enjoy spending time with him and feel valued by his support. His compassion and positive attitude make aimpact every week.

What makes Erik truly special is his commitment to people. He does not volunteer because he has to. He volunteers because he cares. His continued dedication shows how strong relationships and true compassion can change lives.

We are thankful for Erik Clausen and the difference he makes at Goodwill. His time, heart, and dedication make him a caring partner to our participants and a deserving Volunteer of the Year.
