Before coming to Goodwill, Terrell was having a hard time finding a job. He really wanted to find a job before summer started. The job search was hard. He struggled to find work that fit his schedule and needs. He felt lost and was not confident about job options.
When Terrell started working with Goodwill, he received support that helped build his confidence and look into new job opportunities.
With help from his Employment Specialist, Terrell learned how to think differently and search for jobs using online job sites. He was supported every step of the way. That encouraged him to keep going and to work through his challenges.
For six months, his Employment Specialist helped him work toward his goal, and that effort finally paid off. Terrell got his first job. A job that fit his schedule and met his needs.
Now, Terrell is employed and earning an income. He shared that he feels proud to be working and pushing through challenges. He sees himself as a hard worker and is building confidence through his success on the job.
A Goodwill staff member shared that Terrell has been an amazing client to work with. “Terrell’s barriers had him feeling a bit less confident than he should have given himself credit for, but in applying for jobs and building confidence Terrell was able to land a great job at a company that will work with his barriers and help build his confidence along the way.”
